Locally, the CFC Hero Program was implemented in 2001.  By definition, a Hero is someone that undertakes a selfless act for the benefit of another.  This special award was designed to acknowledge those that give that something extra, and truly make this a better world.  We invite all federal employees to submit nominations of your fellow peers.  These can be individuals that have been exemplary keyworkers, that have given generously of themselves through volunteer work and contributions to charitable organizations or charitable causes, or maybe even triumphed over their own adversities.  Whatever the reason, if you feel someone you know deserves to be nominated as a CFC Hero, please submit your nomination with a description of why to the LFCC or Project Officer Contact listed for your location (Contacts), or to the CFC office for locations not listed (peakcfc@comcast.net).
